What is grasshopper?
Chapulín is one of the most devastating pests in central and southern Mexico. However, they have been considered an exotic delicacy and a rich source of nutrients since pre-Hispanic times. Even today, grasshoppers are found in the diet of several rural populations in Oaxaca or Puebla or even in gourmet restaurants in Mexico City and other capitals.
